What does “Fitness is more than health, health is more than exercise” mean?

If a person is doing exercises on a consistent basis, it is in most cases a good habit. The question is – what is he feeding the body with everyday?  How come the person may still be overweight or often underweight? This is because the body is not nourished or is fed with wrong food.

What we want to tell you is that even a person is doing “fitness”, it does not necessary meant that he is healthy.

You want to always keep in mind that a healthy body needs a balance which is a balance of right nutrition,  good and consistent amount of exercise time, enough rest and sleep and of course – no smoking, alcohol etc. In short – a Healthy Lifestyle!

Lifestyle checklist

Here is a simple test. Write down yes or no to every item on the lifestyle checklist:

  • Smoking
  • Alcohol
  • Eating lots of meat especially red meat
  • No or little vegetables
  • Sweet drinks (all Soft drink, sugar in your drinks, even sugar in food)
  • Fried food
  • Processed food
  • Fast Food
  • Snacks once a day
  • Exercising less than once a week

The more yes you have = the higher risk for health problem!
